SUNDAY OCTOBER 27th - THE JOURNEY BEGINS

  • Depart Montreal for Tel-Aviv

DAY ONE – MONDAY OCTOBER 28th  – ARRIVAL TO SDEROT

  • Welcome to Israel!!! Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport where you will be greeted by our representatives & escorted through passport control, baggage claim & customs.

  • Transfer to the South

  • Look out over the border with Gaza and a hear a security briefing and strategic overview of the Southern Region from the Erez Crossing with former IDF spokesperson and geopolitical expert Col. Res. Miri Eisin

  • Tour Sderot with Noam Bedein director of the Sderot Media Center. Meet with local residents and understand the complex reality of everyday life in the shadow of Hamas and Islamic Jihad

  • Lunch in Sderot (included)

  • Lecture by Professor David Kretzmer of the Sapir College; Re-conceptualizing Courts in an Age of Terrorism

  • Check into hotel and dinner overlooking the Crater (included)

DAY TWO – TUESDAY OCTOBER 29TH – BEER SHEVA & RAMON CRATER

  • Full Israeli breakfast at hotel

  • Discover the beautiful desert landscape of the Ramon Crater in an off-road Jeep adventure

  • Visit army base in Southern Israel – pending authorization

  • Lunch in Beer Sheva (included)

  • Tour the Saroka Hospital with M.D Shimon Glick, work renowned expert on Jewish Medical Ethics

  • Explore the ancient ruins of Biblical Tel Be’er Sheva

  • Dinner at hotel  (included)

  • Optional star gazing activity in the Ramon Crater

DAY THREE – WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 30TH – JERUSALEM

  • Full Israeli breakfast at hotel

  • Check out and departure from hotel

  • Explore the Ilan Ramon Museum and Memorial and hear about the legacy and heritage of Ilan Ramon OR  morning at leisure to enjoy the luxurious  hotel facilities

  • Camel ride in the beautiful Negev at Chaan Hashayarot

  • Visit the Bedouin city of Rahat and meet with Sabha, a pioneer in the empowerment of women within one of Israel’s minority communities

  • Lunch en route (packed lunch included)

  • Travel to Jerusalem

  • Welcome to Jerusalem! Enjoy a spectacular bird’s eye view from the Temple Mount from the Dan Family Aish Hatorah rooftop

  • Meet a local family living in the Old City

  • Visit the Herodian Mansions which tells the story of the people and the city of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period

  • Time for reflection at the Western wall

  • Dinner with Nitsana Darshan Leitner of Shurat Hadin (included)

DAY FOUR – THURSDAY OCTOBER 31st  – JERUSALEM

  • Full Israeli breakfast at hotel

  • Lecture 1: Accessibility legislation in Israel with founder and president of Access Israel, and former helicopter pilot, Yuval Wagner

  • Lecture 2: Rabbi Dr. Levi Cooper Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies – topic TBA

  • Morning Spousal track: Explore the Southern Excavations & Davidson Center

  • Behind the Scenes Knesset tour with Senior Jerusalem Post Correspondent Gil Hoffman and meet with the Minister of Justice

  • Lunch at Knesset food court (on own)

  • Walk in the footsteps of Prophets & Kings in the City of David special VIP tour. Including recently excavated areas that are closed-off to the general public

  • Relive the dramatic battle at Ammunition Hill that led to the reunification of Israel in 1967, accompanied by fighters from the battle

  • Free evening in Jerusalem

  • Optional:  Experience the late-night bakery tour in Jerusalem’s ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods as the city’s residents prepare their Shabbat Challah

DAY FIVE – FRIDAY NOVEMBER 1ST– JERUSALEM

  • Full Israeli breakfast at hotel

  • Lecture 1:  Legalities of prisoner exchange when dealing with terrorists OR Confronting the challenges of Human Shields when civilians protect weapons with Judge Amnon Straschnov

  • Lecture 2: Israel, Palestine and the International Criminal Court  with Prof. Robbie Sabel

  • Pay tribute the memory of the Six Million at Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, with special law-related track

  • Experience the vibe in the colorful Machane Yehuda Outdoor Market  (lunch on own)

  • Welcome in the Shabbat with a special candle-lighting in Jerusalem

  • Join thousands of Jews from around the globe in joyous celebration of Shabbat at the Western Wall

  • Friday night dinner in the old city’s Tzemach Tzedek Synagogue with Rabbi Yossi Swerdlov and Lone Soldiers (return to hotel on foot)

DAY SIX – SHABBAT NOVEMBER 2ND— JERUSALEM

  • Full Israeli breakfast at hotel

  • Beginners prayer service & roundtable discussion topic and Q&A session about Judaism

  • Lunch at hotel (included)

  • Lecture with Rabbi Benny Lau community Rabbi and head of the Human Rights and Judaism in Action Project at the Israel Democracy Institute – topic TBA

  • Lecture with Rabbi Krasnanski;  Is Israel and Jewish law intertwined and inseparable?

  • Walking tour of the beautiful Talbieh neighborhood that houses the Prime Minister and the President of Israel

  • Musical havdallah overlooking Jerusalem

DAY SEVEN – SUNDAY NOVEMBER 3RD- BINYAMIN & SHOMRON

DAY EIGHT – MONDAY NOVEMBER 4TH - TEL AVIV

  • Lecture:  Cyber Security; Key Technology and IP Issues for Israeli Start-Ups with Adv. David Mirchin from Meitar law firm

  • Lecture: Lecture by former ambassador to the UN, Ron Prosser

  • Meet with inspirational, wounded IDF veterans from Achim LeChaim

  • Lunch on own

  • Start-up Nation -meet with high-tech entrepreneurs who are changing the world we live in

  • Learn about the life of Yitzchak Rabin at the Rabin Center through the backdrop of major world events over the course of nearly 80 years of history

  • Farewell dinner in Tel Aviv (included)

DAY NINE – TUESDAY NOVEMBER 5TH – DEPARTURE
